Jesus is referred to in the Bible as "the bright and morning star." (Rev. 22:16) However, the Bible also warns that Satan transforms himself "into an angel of light" in order to deceive. (2 Cor. 11:14)

If the wise men had followed the wrong star, God would not have been able to use them to bring about the fulfillment of three of His earlier prophecies. (Matt. 2:11-15; Matt. 2:16-18; Mat. 2:23).

Likewise, we need to make sure that we are following the RIGHT star. Not just any old star will do, particularly not any born from within our naturally sinful human hearts.
